US troops may stay in Afghanistan until 2024
This is precisely why we need Ron Paul. The GOP would do well to stop ignoring him. Mark my words, Obama - if this goes through and Ron Paul runs, you lose my vote for good. Americans are sick of this pointless war. So is the rest of the world; they’re sick with us interfering and intervening in every situation that we may have strategic interest in. The American government does not help countries out of kindness or because it’s the right thing to do.
With what they’re going to spend on this, we could save thousands of starving people in Somalia. We could rebuild Haiti entirely. We can stop genocides. We can stop the kidnapping of children to make them into soldiers. What the FUCK is wrong with our government???? We could be doing so much more, and so much better with the resources we have. The people are saying NO to more war. Start listening before it’s too late for us to recover.
